Key Responsibilities
• Implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures for E&I works.
• Review electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, datasheets, and client requirements.
• Conduct incoming material inspections and verify Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) for cables, panels, instruments, lighting fixtures, junction boxes, cable glands, conduit systems, and other E&I materials.
• Inspect installation activities, including cable tray installation, conduit works, cable laying, glanding and termination, earthing and bonding, lighting installation, control panels, MCCs, LV/HV equipment, and field instruments.
• Coordinate Inspection Requests (IRs) with the client, consultant, and third-party inspection agencies.
• Witness and verify electrical and instrumentation testing activities, including:
• Insulation Resistance (IR) tests
• Continuity tests
• Earth resistance tests
• High Voltage (Hi-Pot) tests (where applicable)
• Cable identification and continuity verification
• Loop checking
• Instrument calibration
• Functional testing
• Control logic verification
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
• Verify calibration certificates for all measuring and testing equipment.
• Ensure all installations comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Raise and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, material approvals, and manufacturer certificates.
• Prepare quality dossiers, testing records, as-built documentation, and final handover packages.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements during all inspection activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in Electrical & Instrumentation works, preferably in industrial, oil & gas, power, utilities, or EPC projects.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• Client approval (where applicable) will be an added advantage.
