Electrical Engineer (TAQA Approved)

An Electrical Engineer with TAQA approval and a minimum of 7 years of UAE experience is responsible for designing, testing, and overseeing the installation of electrical systems, ensuring strict compliance with the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) regulations. • Regulatory Compliance : Act as the primary liaison with TAQA and ADDC/AADC to secure power connection approvals, load notifications, and design clearances. • Design & Review : Evaluate electrical engineering drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, and load schedules against TAQA regulations. • Site Supervision : Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV/MV/LV substations, transformers, switchgears, and distribution networks. • Testing & Commissioning : Lead final testing procedures and facilitate formal handovers to local utility authorities. • Safety & Standards : Enforce electrical safety protocols on-site according to the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHAD) framework. Job Requirements • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. • Certification : Active, verifiable TAQA / ADDC Competency Card / Approval is mandatory. • Experience : Minimum 7 years of proven electrical engineering experience within the UAE construction or utility sectors. • Skills : Deep understanding of TAQA/RSB regulations, power system software (like ETAP), and electrical load calculations. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Possession of a valid TAQA Engineer Approval Certificate is mandatory for this role. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the oil and gas or utilities sector. • Proven experience in designing, analyzing, and commissioning high-voltage power systems.
