EHS Engineer

Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements at the project site, implementing EHS programs, conducting inspections and promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors. Key Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with applicable local, national and international EHS regulations and standards. • Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and identify appropriate mitigation measures. • Carry out regular site inspections and EHS audits. • Conduct EHS training and toolbox talks for site personnel and contractors. • Monitor compliance with HSE requirements and promote a safety-first culture. • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. • Develop and implement emergency response plans for the project site. • Prepare regular EHS performance reports for the Project Manager and EHS Manager. • Coordinate with contractors, clients and regulatory bodies on EHS matters. Qualification & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in renewable energy or construction. • NEBOSH certification is mandatory. • Ground-mounted Solar PV experience preferred, particularly within the Middle East. • Strong communication and leadership skills.
