Key Responsibilities for Private Hospitality Dog Trainer/ Handler Role • Training of all dogs • Safely handle and control dogs within the private residence, estate grounds, and at external locations, ensuring public safety and animal welfare. • Provide daily care including feeding, grooming, structured exercise, enrichment activities, and monitoring of health and behaviour. • Support and reinforce structured training programmes under the guidance of senior trainers or behaviour specialists where required. • Maintain accurate and confidential records of behaviour, health observations, feeding schedules, and training progress. • Ensure kennels, living areas, transport crates, and equipment are maintained to high hygiene and operational standards. • Coordinate veterinary appointments, vaccinations, grooming visits, and specialist care as required, ensuring treatments are administered correctly. • Prepare dogs for travel, guest interaction, or formal household occasions when necessary. • Work collaboratively with household staff and estate management to meet operational needs, including flexibility for weekends and occasional evenings. Required Skills and Experience • Previous experience Training dogs in a professional, estate, kennel, training, or security environment is desirable. • Strong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and positive reinforcement training methods. • High level of discretion and professionalism suitable for a private hospitality environment. • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow structured care plans and standard operating procedures. • Physically capable of managing dogs of varying sizes and energy levels, including safe restraint when necessary.
