Data & AI Engineer

• Develop batch and streaming data ingestion and transformation pipelines. • Design and maintain data lakehouse layers, curated data models, and data products. • Build and maintain APIs for data access and serving. • Implement data quality, metadata, lineage, governance, and access controls. • Develop ML feature pipelines, document processing workflows, embeddings, and RAG ingestion pipelines. • Write modular, maintainable Python, SQL, and Spark code. • Implement automated testing, code reviews, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. • Support cloud deployments, containers, monitoring, observability, and production operations. • Use AI coding assistants responsibly for development, testing, documentation, and debugging, with appropriate human validation. Hiring: Data & AI Engineer Company: Ooredoo Consulting Location: Qatar Experience: 5+ Years Work Mode: Onsite – Qatar About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data & AI Engineer to build scalable data pipelines, AI-ready data products, and production-grade software services. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, cloud data platforms, and modern data engineering practices, along with an understanding of AI/ML data preparation and RAG pipelines. Required Skills • Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL . • Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing. • Expertise in ETL/ELT, data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and streaming . • Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures and cloud data platforms. • Experience with APIs, Git, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD. • Understanding of containers, observability, and production support. • Knowledge of ML data preparation, embeddings, vector search, and RAG pipelines. • Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent tools, with the ability to validate generated code. • Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, and accountability. Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of directly relevant professional experience . • Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade solutions in complex enterprise or public-sector environments. • Relevant cloud, data engineering, or technology certifications are preferred. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with enterprise cloud and data engineering platforms. • Exposure to data governance, security, and responsible AI-assisted development. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
