**Job Description – Cyber Security Engineer (Oil \& Gas Project)** **Position:** Cyber Security Engineer **Location:** Qatar **Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled **Cyber Security Engineer** to join our Oil \& Gas project team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures for Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). The role focuses on protecting critical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and supporting the secure design, implementation, and operation of control systems throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. * Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and gap analyses for industrial control systems. * Ensure compliance with client cybersecurity requirements, international standards, and company policies. * Review and secure Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, SCADA, SIS, and network architectures. * Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and hardening guidelines for OT systems. * Monitor cybersecurity events, investigate security incidents, and recommend corrective actions. * Coordinate with engineering, automation, instrumentation, and IT teams to ensure secure project execution. * Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities from a cybersecurity perspective. * Prepare cybersecurity documentation, reports, and compliance records. * Conduct cybersecurity awareness sessions and provide technical guidance to project teams. * Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in **Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Instrumentation Engineering**, or an equivalent discipline. * Experience in the **Oil \& Gas industry**. * Proven experience in **Industrial Cyber Security** and **Operational Technology (OT) Security**. * Strong knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS), DCS, PLC, SCADA, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). * Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as **IEC 62443**, **NIST Cybersecurity Framework**, **ISO 27001**, and **NIST SP 800\-82**. * Knowledge of industrial network architecture, firewalls, network segmentation, and secure remote access. * Strong analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
