Cost Accountant

• Cost Analysis & Tracking • Variance Analysis • Budgeting & Forecasting • Pricing & Profit Margin Determination • Inventory Valuation & Control • Cost Reporting • Process Improvement & Cost Reduction • Performing account reconciliations. • Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management. • Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit. • Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data. • Managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books. • Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure. • Duration: Typically, 5 to 10 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or general accounting within an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Core Exposure: Experience dealing directly with production costing, standard/actual cost development, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, inventory valuation, and physical stock/cycle counts. 3. Technical & Software Skills • ERP & Accounting Systems: Hands-on proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems-Oddo users are preferred. • Spreadsheets: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to handle large databases, pivot tables, financial modeling, and data manipulation). • Regulatory/Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS ) and local tax/compliance requirements (e.g., ZATCA and VAT regulations if working in Saudi Arabia). 4. Professional Certifications (Preferred / A Plus) • CMA (Certified Management Accountant) • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) • ACCA or CA (Chartered Accountant) • CPCA (Certified Professional Cost Accountant)
