Consultant / Staff Physician, Pain Medicine

Overview A premium private hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant / Staff Physician in Pain Medicine to provide specialist assessment and management of patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. The physician will work within a multidisciplinary clinical environment and coordinate treatment with relevant medical, surgical, rehabilitation and allied-health services. Clinical Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pain assessments. Diagnose and evaluate acute and chronic pain conditions. Develop individualized multidisciplinary pain-management plans. Review diagnostic imaging, laboratory results and relevant clinical records. Provide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment. Perform appropriate pain-management procedures within credentialed scope. Monitor patient response and modify treatment plans where clinically indicated. Coordinate care with surgical, neurological, rehabilitation and other specialist teams. Educate patients regarding pain management and treatment expectations. Maintain accurate clinical documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions. Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance activities. Requirements Recognized medical degree. Recognized specialist qualification relevant to Pain Medicine. Consultant/staff physician-level experience appropriate to the position. Relevant experience in acute and chronic pain management. Eligibility for the appropriate Abu Dhabi/UAE medical licence. Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
