Consultant Ophthalmologist / Oculoplastic Surgeon

Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a full time Consultant Ophthalmologist / Oculoplastic Surgeon for their client, a multispecialty hospital in Abu Dhabi. We are looking for physicians with recognised specialist qualifications in Ophthalmology and subspecialty training in Oculoplastic Surgery, with expertise in functional and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit within a multidisciplinary hospital setting. Candidates should have experience in ptosis correction, eyelid malposition repair, blepharoplasty, lacrimal drainage surgery, periocular lesion assessment and reconstruction following tumour excision or trauma. Responsibilities will include evaluating thyroid eye disease and orbital conditions, developing individual surgical plans, counselling patients on functional and aesthetic outcomes and providing comprehensive postoperative care. The role will require collaboration with ENT, endocrinology, dermatology, oncology and other ophthalmic subspecialties for complex cases, with orbital procedures performed according to the physician s training and clinical privileges.
