Consultant Gastroenterologist (Western Trained)

Overview A premium private hospital in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Western-trained Consultant Gastroenterologist to provide specialist care for patients with gastrointestinal, liver, and digestive system disorders. The successful candidate will conduct advanced diagnostic assessments, manage complex gastroenterological conditions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Clinical Responsibilities • Assess, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions. • Manage diseases affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas, and liver. • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures within approved clinical privileges. • Evaluate patients with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, and other digestive disorders. • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor clinical outcomes. • Coordinate investigations and referrals with surgery, oncology, radiology, and other specialties. • Counsel patients on diagnoses, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with patient-safety standards. • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality-improvement initiatives. Requirements • Recognized specialist qualification in Gastroenterology. • Western training or qualifications meeting the employer's requirements. • Consultant-level experience consistent with applicable UAE licensing criteria. • Eligibility for, or an active licence from, the relevant UAE health authority, as required. • Demonstrated competence in gastroenterological assessment and endoscopic procedures. • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
