Consultant - Family Medicine

Overview A premium private hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant in Family Medicine to provide comprehensive, continuous medical care for individuals and families. The role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, supporting preventive healthcare, coordinating specialist referrals, and promoting long-term patient wellbeing through evidence-based primary care. Clinical Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive consultations and medical assessments for patients across different age groups. • Diagnose and manage common acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions. • Provide preventive healthcare, routine screening, immunization guidance, and health promotion. • Manage conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory disorders, and other common primary-care concerns. • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress. • Coordinate referrals to specialists and facilitate continuity of care. • Counsel patients on lifestyle modification, disease prevention, and long-term health management. • Review diagnostic investigations and prescribe appropriate treatments. • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with hospital policies and clinical governance requirements. • Support clinical audits, quality-improvement programmes, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Requirements • Recognized specialist qualification in Family Medicine. • Consultant-level experience consistent with applicable UAE licensing criteria. • Eligibility for, or an active licence from, the relevant UAE health authority, as required. • Strong expertise in primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. • Excellent communication, leadership, and patient-engagement skills. • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuity of care.
