This is a senior Consultant position designed for an internationally trained Head & Neck Surgeon with extensive experience managing complex oncological, reconstructive, and airway cases within tertiary or quaternary healthcare environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering advanced surgical care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the head and neck, working alongside multidisciplinary teams including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, and Speech & Language Therapy. This position offers the opportunity to work within a modern, internationally accredited hospital equipped with advanced surgical technology, comprehensive oncology services, and a strong referral network across the UAE. Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Provide comprehensive Consultant-level ENT and Head & Neck surgical services. Diagnose and manage benign and malignant disorders affecting the: Oral cavity Oropharynx Larynx Hypopharynx Thyroid and parathyroid glands Salivary glands Neck masses Upper aerodigestive tract Perform advanced Head & Neck surgical procedures, including: Head & Neck tumour resections Neck dissections Thyroid and parathyroid surgery Salivary gland surgery Airway reconstruction procedures Tracheostomy and tracheotomy Complex airway surgery Participate in multidisciplinary tumour board meetings and contribute to comprehensive cancer management planning. Deliver perioperative and postoperative care while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Support departmental quality improvement, clinical governance, teaching, and continuing medical education initiatives.
Requirements Tier 1 qualification preferred , including:
UK CCT
US Board Certification
Canadian Fellowship
CSCST (Ireland)
FRACS
European Board Certification
Australasian Fellowship
Or equivalent internationally recognised Consultant qualification
Western-trained Consultant ENT Surgeon ( essential )
Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Head & Neck Surgery highly desirable
Minimum 5 years post-board certification experience as a Consultant ENT Surgeon
Extensive experience in Head & Neck Oncology Surgery
Proven expertise in the management of benign and malignant head & neck tumours
Advanced experience performing:
Tracheostomy
Tracheotomy
Complex airway surgery
Major Head & Neck oncological procedures
Experience working within a multidisciplinary cancer programme preferred
DHA Eligibility or active DHA Licence preferred
Comprehensive surgical logbook required
Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Fellowship training in Head & Neck Oncology Surgery
Experience within internationally accredited tertiary or quaternary hospitals
High annual surgical case volumes in complex Head & Neck procedures
Experience with reconstructive Head & Neck surgery and free flap collaboration
Active participation in tumour board meetings and multidisciplinary cancer care
Academic appointments, teaching experience, or research publications
Existing DHA licence or eligibility and availability to relocate to Dubai
