Construction Planning Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Construction Planning Engineer** to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring construction progress, identifying delays, and coordinating with project and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using **Primavera P6**. * Prepare baseline programs, master schedules, look\-ahead schedules, and recovery programs. * Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), milestones, and project activities. * Monitor actual site progress against approved schedules. * Identify delays, critical activities, schedule risks, and potential project slippage. * Analyze critical paths, float, and planned vs. actual progress. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. * Prepare S\-curves, progress tracking reports, and manpower/resource monitoring. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. * Monitor subcontractor schedules and ensure activities are aligned with the main project program. * Track procurement, manpower, materials, and equipment against project requirements. * Prepare recovery plans and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities. * Assist with **delay analysis, EOT claims, and schedule\-related documentation** when required. * Attend progress meetings and provide accurate planning and scheduling updates. * Maintain proper records of project schedules, progress updates, and planning documentation. These responsibilities align with common Planning Engineer requirements currently advertised in Bahrain, particularly Primavera P6, progress monitoring, baseline schedules, critical path analysis, recovery planning, and reporting. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry. * Strong experience in **building and civil construction projects**. * **GCC construction experience is required; Bahrain experience is highly preferred.** * Excellent knowledge of **Primavera P6**; MS Project is an advantage. * Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, WBS, baseline programs, and Critical Path Method (CPM). * Experience in progress monitoring, delay analysis, recovery schedules, and project reporting. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office. * Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiner / short notice candidates are strongly preferred.** * Candidates with **cancelled or transferable visas** are preferred.
