Commi (Cook) - Bakery

The Commi supports the kitchen brigade by carrying out basic food preparation, baking/cooking, and production tasks to brand standards. This role focuses on learning, consistency, hygiene discipline, accurate execution of recipes, and the ability to produce food products under supervision. **Scope of Role** * Basic food preparation and station support * Following recipes and prep lists accurately * Preparing and producing bakery products according to established recipes and methods * Carrying out basic baking/cooking techniques, including mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, finishing, and portioning as required * Operating ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and correctly * Monitoring products during baking/cooking to ensure correct colour, texture, temperature, and doneness * Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of assigned area * Supporting service flow during peak periods * Learning kitchen/bakery standards and food safety practices * Taking responsibility for assigned production tasks and completing them to the required quality and quantity standards **Key Performance Measures** * Accuracy of prep and recipe execution * Ability to independently execute basic bakery/cooking tasks after training * Consistency and quality of finished products * Food safety and hygiene compliance * Cleanliness of workstation * Speed and reliability during service/production * Responsiveness to instruction and feedback **Compliance \& Food Safety Responsibilities** * Strict adherence to hygiene and handwashing procedures * Correct use of PPE and uniform at all times * Maintain temperature control during prep, baking/cooking, and storage * Prevent cross\-contamination through correct handling * Follow correct procedures for handling, proofing, baking/cooking, cooling, and storage of food products * Escalate allergen risks or safety concerns immediately Work Location: In person
