Chinese Translator and Interpreter

• Accurately translate written documents from a source language to a target language, preserving meaning, tone, and context. • Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, or legal proceedings, ensuring seamless communication between parties. • Adapt terminology and style to suit the specific audience and purpose of the translated or interpreted content. • Conduct thorough research on subject-specific terminology, cultural nuances, and idiomatic expressions. • Edit and proofread translated texts to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guides. • Fluency in English and Chinese and at least one other language commonly used in the construction industry (e.g., Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu). • Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably within the construction or engineering sector. • Strong understanding of construction terminology and technical language. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cultural sensitivity. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Degree or certification in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or related field is preferred. • Native or near-native proficiency in at least two languages, with a proven ability to switch seamlessly between them. • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in professional translation and/or interpretation within specific industries (e.g., legal, medical, technical). • Proficiency in using CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools and translation management systems. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and stakeholders.
