Chemistry HOD

• Lead, manage, and coordinate the Chemistry department. • Develop and implement curriculum plans, schemes of work, and assessment strategies. • Supervise, mentor, and support Chemistry teachers to maintain high teaching standards. • Monitor students' academic progress and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes. • Ensure effective teaching of theoretical and practical Chemistry concepts. • Oversee Chemistry laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, chemical storage, and laboratory safety procedures. • Prepare students for internal and external examinations. • Conduct departmental meetings, lesson observations, and academic performance reviews. • Promote innovative teaching methods and student engagement. • Collaborate with school management and other departments to achieve academic objectives. • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant subject; a Master's degree is mandatory. • B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification, as required by the school. • Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience, with previous HOD or departmental leadership experience essential. • Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, student assessment, and examination preparation. • Experience in laboratory management and chemical safety procedures. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Experience in an international school environment will be an advantage. • Strong and proven experience in the CBSE curriculum is mandatory. • Excellent knowledge of CBSE syllabus planning, assessment patterns, practical examinations, and result analysis.
