Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Planning Develop and execute the company s financial strategy to align with overall business goals. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and performance tracking. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior management for strategic decision-making. Formulate long-term financial models and financial risk management strategies. Financial Reporting & Analysis Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for financial reporting (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Monitor financial performance by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing financial reports for the executive team and board. Conduct profitability analysis and cash flow projections to support growth initiatives. Risk Management & Compliance Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the organization. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations. Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring annual audits are carried out in compliance with industry standards. Oversee corporate governance and internal controls, ensuring all financial practices are legally compliant. Capital Management & Fundraising Lead capital-raising activities including debt, equity financing, and maintaining investor relations. Ensure effective cash flow management and working capital optimization. Analyze and recommend appropriate capital structures for long-term growth and sustainability. Operational Management Provide leadership to the finance and accounting teams to optimize the financial performance of the company. Establish and maintain effective processes and systems for accounting, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Develop financial operational efficiencies to support overall company objectives. Stakeholder Communication Communicate financial performance, strategy, and key developments to investors, stakeholders, and the board of directors. Collaborate with senior leadership on acquisitions, mergers, and partnerships. Lead financial due diligence during M&A transactions or strategic investments. Team Leadership & Development Build and manage a high-performing finance team. Mentor and develop finance staff, ensuring there is succession planning and ongoing professional development. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the finance team. Skills Strategic thinking and high-level financial acumen. Expertise in risk management, capital structuring, and compliance. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex financial matters to non-financial stakeholders. Advanced problem-solving skills and business acumen. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master s degree (MBA) preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus. Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles. Proven experience with financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting. Strong knowledge of corporate finance, regulatory frameworks, and accounting standards. Expertise in financial software and ERP systems. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
