Budget & Planning Specialist – Cost Control (Airline/ Aviation)

• Develop and maintain detailed departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic organizational goals and operational needs. • Monitor actual expenditures against budgeted amounts, identifying significant variances and investigating their root causes promptly. • Implement and manage cost control measures and strategies to optimize resource allocation and minimize unnecessary spending. • Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasts, to inform management decision-making. • Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data, forecast future expenses, and ensure budget accuracy. • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the organization. • Assist in the development of financial models and scenario planning to assess the impact of different business decisions on costs. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus. • Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, or FP&A is highly regarded. • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control. • Proven experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, technology, healthcare) relevant to the company's operations. • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan) and advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
