BIM Lead (Electrical) | MEP Contracting

• Lead, guide and manage the Electrical BIM team, including workload planning, task allocation, productivity monitoring and technical support. • Share BIM best practices with the team. • Evaluate BIM software, technologies and workflows applicable to each project. • Support project BIM standards, the BIM Execution Plan, model requirements and coordination procedures. • Coordinate Electrical BIM models with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV and other relevant disciplines. • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with the project team, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders. • Review and resolve design coordination issues and clashes using Revit, Navisworks and other approved BIM platforms. • Provide guidance for the creation, review and management of Revit families, templates and project libraries. • Oversee the development of Electrical BIM models, shop drawings, builders work drawings, schedules and as-built documentation. • Ensure quality control of models and drawings in accordance with project standards, naming conventions and approved workflows. • Conduct model audits for compliance, accuracy, coordination and data quality, and troubleshoot model-related problems. • Develop, implement and enforce BIM documentation, standards, templates and workflow processes. • Support plotting, electronic file submissions, Common Data Environment requirements and controlled document delivery. • Coordinate BIM deliverables with Design, Engineering and Site teams to support construction requirements. • Monitor BIM deliverables against the project programme and ensure submissions are completed within the required deadlines. • Support change management and the implementation of approved design changes across project models and drawings. • Ensure coordinated digital information is issued to the project team in the required format and at the required level of development. • Support quantity take-offs and model-based information extraction where required by the project. • Minimum 7-8 years of relevant BIM experience, including experience in a similar Electrical BIM leadership position. • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, BIM or an equivalent qualification. • Proven experience in leading Electrical BIM delivery for large and complex MEP projects. • Exposure to high-rise buildings, hotels, theatres and exhibition centres.
