OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE: Our Baristas are responsible for preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent guest service. Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and food items according to company standards; take guest orders, process payments, and record transactions in the MICROS system; set up, stock, and maintain coffee cart and work areas; perform opening and closing duties including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, securing cash banks, and locking designated areas; maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, equipment, and service areas throughout the shift; handle cash and follow all cashiering, auditing, and security procedures; monitor and operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and correctly; deliver exceptional guest service by greeting guests, anticipating needs, resolving concerns, and creating a positive experience; follow Marriott policies on safety, hygiene, security, and confidentiality; and support teamwork while maintaining professional communication with guests and colleagues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. No related work experience is required. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience. License or Certification: None
