Overview A premium private hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Staff Physician specializing in General Anesthesiology to provide safe, effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons, operating theatre teams, and critical-care specialists to support patient safety throughout the perioperative period. Clinical Responsibilities • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patients' medical histories, clinical conditions, and anesthesia risks. • Develop individualized anesthesia plans according to patient needs and procedural requirements. • Administer general, regional, and other appropriate forms of anesthesia within the physician's training and clinical privileges. • Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological status throughout surgical procedures. • Manage airway complications, hemodynamic instability, and anesthesia-related emergencies. • Provide appropriate postoperative pain management and recovery monitoring. • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated perioperative care. • Maintain accurate anesthesia records and comply with infection-control and patient-safety standards. • Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement activities, and departmental education. Requirements • Recognized specialist qualification in Anesthesiology. • Experience appropriate to the Associate Staff Physician position and applicable UAE licensing requirements. • Eligibility for, or an active licence from, the relevant UAE health authority, as required. • Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, perioperative assessment, airway management, and emergency response. • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills. • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
