Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** **Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil Infrastructure)** **Abu Dhabi, UAE** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Assistant Resident Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will support the Resident Engineer in supervising day\-to\-day delivery of major civil infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. **What You’ll Be Doing:** * Supervise daily construction activities for civil infrastructure works including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and associated public realm. * Support contract administration and ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements. * Coordinate and supervise wet/dry utility installations (trenching, ducting, chambers, connections, and testing support). * Review contractor submissions (method statements, shop drawings, traffic management plans, ITPs) and support inspections and material/testing compliance. * Coordinate interfaces across roads, utilities, and structures and witness key material tests (e.g., asphalt, concrete, pipe tests) as required. * Monitor progress against programme, identify risks/delays, recommend mitigation actions, and manage NCRs/technical queries and corrective actions. * Lead/supervise inspectors and junior engineers; support toolbox talks and risk assessments to reinforce HSE requirements. * Coordinate with survey, QA/QC, and other discipline teams to ensure correct setting\-out, quality execution, and smooth interfaces. * Participate in site meetings and provide technical updates; promote HSE and environmental compliance and safe work practices. * Support handover activities including inspections, snagging/punch lists, as\-builts, and close\-out documentation. **What Required Skills You’ll Bring:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline). * Minimum 12 years experience in construction supervision of civil infrastructure works. * Strong experience across roads, wet \& dry utilities, and landscape/public realm works. * Good knowledge of QA/QC, ITPs, inspection/testing requirements, and UAE/authority standards. * Strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills; proficient in MS Office and project systems. **What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:** * Experience delivering infrastructure works in remote/island environments. * Familiarity with utility authority requirements and asset handover processes.
