Assistant Resident Engineer Electrical

Job Description Overview Responsible for supervising the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of 132 kV and above substations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and schedule commitments. Your role • Supervise construction and installation activities for AIS/GIS substations (132 kV and above). • Monitor the erection of transformers, switchgear, CTs, VTs, isolators, protection panels, SCADA, and associated equipment. • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and HSE requirements. • Witness testing and commissioning activities and review test reports. • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and project teams to ensure timely project delivery. • Monitor project progress and prepare site reports. • Identify and resolve technical and construction issues at site. Required Skills • HV/EHV Substation Construction Supervision • Testing & Commissioning • Quality and Safety Management • Contractor Coordination • Progress Monitoring & Reporting Preferred Experience • EPC, Utility, Consulting, or Owner's Engineer projects involving 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, or higher voltage substations. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering • 10+ years of experience in substation projects, with significant exposure to 132 kV and above substations. • Experience in AIS/GIS substations, testing & commissioning, and construction supervision.
