Assistant Engineering Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in managing and maintaining the hotel s engineering systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy systems. • Ensure smooth operation of building and guest-facing systems such as chillers, boilers, generators, elevators, and fire and life safety systems. • Lead daily maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of guest and departmental work orders. • Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance programmes, energy consumption, and water management to maximise equipment lifespan and efficiency. • Plan and implement repairs, technical upgrades, renovation projects, and infrastructure improvements in coordination with the Engineering Manager. • Manage contractors, service providers, and maintenance-related contracts. • Maintain engineering asset inventory, spare parts stock, and oversee procurement of materials and equipment. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, civil defense, and environmental regulations and company standards. • Train and supervise the engineering team on technical procedures, safety practices, and best practices, and deputise for the Engineering Manager when required.
