**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail\-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and processed. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
* Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts in accordance with company policies.
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
* Assist with month\-end and year\-end close processes.
* Prepare tax returns, filings, and assist with audits.
* Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
* Provide support in payroll processing and benefits administration.
* Assist senior accountants with various financial tasks as needed.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
**Requirements:**
* A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role is preferred.
* Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* CPA or ACCA certification (or working toward certification) is a plus.
* Previous experience with tax filings and audits.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.
