Appointed person - Lifting Operations

• Prepare and approve lifting plans and method statements • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures • Select appropriate cranes, equipment, and lifting accessories • Verify load calculations, crane configurations, and lifting methods • Ensure proper ground conditions and crane setup prior to lifting • Define exclusion zones, load paths, and crane positioning for each lift • Classify lifts as routine, non-routine, critical, or complex and apply the correct planning standard for each category • Obtain third-party review and approval for complex lifts where required by project or regulatory standards • Ensure all lifting equipment is certified and fit for use • Maintain an equipment register and track certification expiry dates • Supervise critical and non-routine lifting operations • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • Certified Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (LEEA / CITB / equivalent) • 7–10 years of experience in lifting operations within construction or Oil & Gas industry • Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, load calculations, and rigging practices • Familiarity with ADNOC and international lifting standards • Familiarity with ISO 23853 (Appointed Person Competency Standard) preferred • Excellent computer skills • Excellent command of English
