Role & responsibilities Develop and maintain the application portfolio, application architecture views, reference architectures and lifecycle roadmaps. Assess application fit, health, technical debt, duplication, integration dependencies and alignment to business capabilities. Define target-state application architecture, application rationalisation recommendations and transition roadmaps. Review solution designs, architecture documents and non-functional requirements for compliance with EA principles and standards. Work with solution, data, infrastructure, security and integration teams to ensure coherent end-to-end designs. Establish traceability between business capabilities, processes, applications, data entities, interfaces and technology components. Support application modernisation, cloud adoption, package selection and migration initiatives with architecture guidance. Contribute to architecture governance, design reviews, exceptions management, standards and EA repository quality
Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of application architecture patterns, API-led integration, service-oriented design and application lifecycle management. Practical knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate application-layer modelling; ability to create actionable architecture views. Experience assessing application portfolios, technical debt, application health, fit-for-purpose and rationalisation opportunities. Familiarity with cloud, security, data and integration considerations in enterprise solution design. Strong stakeholder-management, analytical, documentation and design-review skills.
