Accountant

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including journal entries, general ledger transactions, and supporting documentation. • Manage accounts payable and receivable, verify invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on payments and collections. • Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly. • Complete month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards. • Prepare payroll and employee settlements, verifying attendance, leave, overtime, deductions, and supporting approvals to ensure accurate and timely payments. • Prepare tax calculations, maintain supporting records, and coordinate the timely submission of applicable tax returns and payments. • Monitor cash flow, project costs, and expenses, investigate significant variances, and highlight financial issues and cost-saving opportunities to management. • Maintain organized financial records and provide supporting schedules and documentation for internal reviews and external audits. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus for advanced understanding. • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) demonstrating expertise and commitment to the accounting profession. • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a corporate environment or specific industry. • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
