Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role covers the full accounting cycle, day\-to\-day accounting operations, and the preparation of accurate reconciliations, schedules and reports for management review. **Reporting to:** Finance Manager **Key Responsibilities:** * Handle the full accounting cycle, from transaction recording through month\-end closing * Record accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger transactions * Perform bank reconciliations * Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations * Maintain accurate inventory records and process stock movements * Prepare month\-end closing schedules * Prepare monthly financial and management reporting schedules * Record and maintain accruals, prepayments and fixed asset schedules * Prepare VAT schedules and supporting documents * Assist with audit requirements and provide requested documentation * Prepare supplier payment schedules for review and approval * Prepare customer statements and receivables ageing reports * Review accounting transactions and investigate discrepancies * Maintain organised and complete accounting records * Prepare accounting schedules, analyses and supporting documents as required * Follow established accounting controls and approval procedures **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field * 3–5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in the UAE * Hands\-on experience with the full accounting cycle and inventory accounting * Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting principles * Experience with QuickBooks is preferred; familiarity with Odoo, Zoho, Tally or other accounting/ERP systems is an advantage * Experience with inFlow or a similar inventory management system is an advantage * Experience in trading, retail or e\-commerce is preferred * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Strong ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently * Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communication skills in English * Immediate availability is preferred Please apply only if you meet the above experience requirements.
