Academic Subject Teacher

Academic Subject Teacher / Tutor, Grades 8 to 12 Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Work Mode: On-site Organisation: Shining Star Full-Time/Part-Time Available Shining Star is looking for experienced Academic Subject Teachers / Tutors for Grades 8 to 12 in Abu Dhabi. We are hiring for: • Mathematics • Physics • Chemistry • Biology The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, proven UAE teaching or tutoring experience, and the ability to teach students from different school curricula with a structured, concept-based and exam-focused approach. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and structured classes for Grades 8 to 12. • Identify learning gaps and provide targeted academic support. • Explain difficult concepts clearly and build strong fundamentals. • Prepare students for school assessments, term exams and board examinations. • Conduct regular practice, quizzes and assessments. • Track student performance and provide timely feedback. • Support students with revision, doubt solving and exam techniques. • Communicate student progress and areas of concern to parents when required. • Prepare worksheets, practice questions and revision materials. • Maintain attendance, assessment and basic academic records. Curriculum Experience Required Candidates should have strong experience with one or more of the following curricula: • CBSE • Cambridge, IGCSE / AS / A Level • American Curriculum • Canadian Curriculum Experience teaching senior secondary students will be highly preferred. Mandatory Requirements • Must be currently residing in Abu Dhabi . • Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in the UAE . • UAE school, tuition centre or academic institute experience is required. • Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject or related field. • Strong command of English. • Strong classroom management and communication skills. • Ability to teach face-to-face classes in Abu Dhabi. • Availability for after-school, evening and weekend classes. Candidates without UAE teaching or tutoring experience will not be considered. Preferred • B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification. • Experience teaching Grades 10 to 12. • Ability to teach more than one subject. • Experience with board exam preparation. • Experience in small-group tuition or learning centres. • Ability to create worksheets, assessments and revision plans.
