Welding Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field. • 3–7 years of experience in welding engineering. • Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX requirements and welding codes. • Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ. • Experience in welding quality control and inspection activities. • Familiarity with GTAW (TIG), SMAW, GMAW (MIG), FCAW, and SAW welding processes. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. • Knowledge of NDT methods (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT) is preferred. • AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent certification is an advantage • Strong technical reporting and communication skills. • Develop, review, and approve welding procedures. • Coordinate welder qualification tests and maintain qualification records. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable codes. • Provide technical support and resolve welding-related issues during fabrication and construction activities.
