About The Role
The overall job purpose of a Lead UX Designer is to create user experiences that are delightful, efficient, and effective. They do this by working with a variety of stakeholders to understand user needs, gather feedback, and iterate on designs until they are perfect. Lead UX Designers also play a key role in ensuring that UX design is integrated into the overall product development process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design efforts to create optimal user experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams and advocating for user-centered design practices, and continuously iterating and improving designs based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Conduct research and reuse design standards and principles whenever possible. They should emphasize the importance of not reinventing the wheel for trivial things, and always keep research in mind when approaching new design challenges. By leveraging existing knowledge and principles, a UX designer can improve the quality of their work and processes, and ultimately achieve better outcomes for their users.
• Help the team as a Lead UI/ UX designer, collaborate across various departments and disciplines with initiatives that improve the quality of work and processes.
• Test and iterate on design solutions based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Design for complex & vague problems and can deliver feasible results considering the dependencies on technology, data, and other resources.
• Proactive expectation management.
• Lead the UI/UX design team and mentor junior designers. This includes setting design standards, providing design critique, and helping designers to develop both hard and soft skills.
To Be The Right Fit, You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Visual or any relevant comparable discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in UX design
• User research, qualitative testing, working with, developing design systems or component libraries required
• Fluent in Figma or similar software.
• Experience with Design Systems, Wireframes, prototyping and user testing, Information Architecture. Demonstrated experience using AI tooling for wireframing and rapid prototyping is essential.
• NN group, Design masterclasses, UI and UX certification preferred.
• Design thinking and workshop facilitation capabilities.
• Collaboration, leading design initiatives, expectation management skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic is preferred.
