About Al-Futtaim Education Foundation Al-Futtaim Education Foundation (AFEF) is a not-for-profit initiative launched by the Al-Futtaim Family, with the aim of meaningfully impacting the education landscape in the UAE, the region, and beyond. Our Schools Deira International School (DIS) — an internationally accredited IB World School located on a state-of-the-art 70,000 sq. metre campus in Dubai Festival City, welcoming a student body of 1,500 pupils representing 75 nationalities. DIS holds an Outstanding rating from both KHDA and BSO, making it one of Dubai's most recognised schools for academic excellence. Universal American School (UAS) — an internationally accredited IB World School also located in Dubai Festival City, serving a diverse student community of 1,500 students from 75 nationalities. UAS is rated Very Good by KHDA and offers a rich curriculum spanning Early Years through to High School, with a strong focus on experiential and student-centred learning. Al-Futtaim Education Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team across Deira International School and Universal American School — two of Dubai's most highly regarded international schools. The LSA will work under the direction of the class teacher to provide targeted in-class support that enables all learners to access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Classroom support • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across all subjects and year groups • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives and build confidence • Adapt resources and activities to meet the diverse needs of learners in the classroom • Assist students with tasks and materials to ensure full participation in lessons Student wellbeing & pastoral care • Monitor student wellbeing and promptly communicate concerns to the class teacher • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students • Support students during transitions, break times, and school activities as required Planning & assessment support • Collaborate with teachers to prepare differentiated activities and appropriate learning materials • Observe and record student progress, feeding back relevant information to the class teacher • Contribute to student support plan reviews and attend team meetings as required • Assist with the organisation of classroom resources and learning displays A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or in a setting supporting children with diverse learning needs is beneficial.
