Position: Tendering & Estimation Engineer (Power Transmission Projects) UAE Experience is Must!!!
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tendering & Estimation Engineer with proven expertise in preparing techno-commercial bids and cost estimates for power transmission projects ranging from 110 kV to 400 kV . The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing tender documents, preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely submission of competitive bids in compliance with client and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client requirements for power transmission projects (110 kV to 400 kV).
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, equipment, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, logistics, and subcontractor costs.
• Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals and tender submissions within specified timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project, and commercial teams to obtain technical inputs and optimize bid strategies.
• Perform quantity take-offs and validate project scope based on tender documentation.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify commercial and technical risks associated with tenders and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare bid clarifications, deviations, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain and update estimation databases, cost benchmarks, and historical project records.
• Support management during bid reviews, negotiations, and post-tender clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, applicable standards, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in tendering and estimation for 110 kV to 400 kV power transmission projects .
• Strong understanding of transmission line and substation scope, engineering practices, and project execution methodologies.
• Experience in preparing techno-commercial bids for utility, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation tools; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of international and utility standards applicable to transmission projects.
Required Skills:
• Expertise in tender evaluation, cost estimation, and bid preparation.
• Strong knowledge of transmission line components, substation equipment, and EPC project costing.
• Excellent analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contractual documents.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders under strict deadlines.
