Job description
• Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and GMP standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
• Organize maintenance schedules, spare parts availability, and utility maintenance with support from the Technical Supervisor.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of production equipment, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assign daily maintenance tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of planned maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and daily activity reports.
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations, reporting and investigating unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Drive root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote best maintenance practices, mentor team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Technical Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may also be considered).
• Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably within bottled water or beverage production.
• Hands-on experience with Krones, Sidel, KHS, SMI , or other European bottling and packaging equipment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, utilities maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for maintenance planning and inventory management.
• Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , food safety, and industrial health & safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop maintenance technicians.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to reducing equipment failures and improving operational efficiency.
• Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience working in the UAE/GCC and familiarity with the bottled water manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
