Technical Installation Specialist **Company:** Artech Stand **Location:** Sohar, Al Batinah North Governorate, Oman **Area:** Sohar Free Zone **Salary:** OMR 1,700 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Overview Artech Stand is seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented **Technical Installation Specialist** to oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of technical equipment and systems. The successful candidate will work with project teams, engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, and according to technical specifications and project schedules. Key Responsibilities * Install, configure, test, and commission technical equipment and systems. * Review installation drawings, technical specifications, manuals, and project requirements before commencing work. * Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and work areas for installation activities. * Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, or technology\-related installation tasks as required by the project. * Conduct testing and inspections to confirm systems are operating correctly. * Diagnose installation faults and resolve technical issues efficiently. * Coordinate with engineers, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and customers during installation activities. * Ensure installations are completed according to approved designs, specifications, and quality standards. * Follow appropriate health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times. * Maintain accurate installation records, testing reports, checklists, and technical documentation. * Support equipment upgrades, modifications, repairs, and preventive maintenance. * Provide technical guidance and basic user training following installation and commissioning. * Coordinate delivery and handling of equipment and materials to ensure projects remain on schedule. * Report technical problems, delays, material shortages, or safety concerns to project management. * Assist with final inspections, commissioning, handover, and client acceptance activities. * Maintain tools and installation equipment in safe and operational condition. Qualifications * Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. * Proven experience in technical installation, commissioning, field service, or equipment deployment. * Strong ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and specifications. * Experience with electrical, electronic, mechanical, networking, or integrated technical systems is an advantage. * Strong troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills. * Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Ability to work on\-site and travel to project locations when required. * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet installation deadlines. * Relevant technical certifications are an advantage. * Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
