Technical Design Department Manager

The Technical Design Department Manager will lead the Design Office operations across Riyadh, Khobar, Egypt, and the Philippines, ensuring effective coordination between all engineering disciplines and the timely delivery of high\-quality design projects. The role oversees resource planning, design governance, multidisciplinary coordination, and operational excellence while working closely with all Discipline Heads. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage the overall operations of the Design Office across all regional offices. * Coordinate and integrate the work of all Discipline Heads (Architecture, Structural, Civil, MEP, Infrastructure, BIM, etc.). * Ensure timely delivery of design projects in line with quality, budget, and schedule requirements. * Monitor resource utilization and optimize workload distribution across offices. * Establish and enforce engineering standards, design procedures, and QA/QC processes. * Lead multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and resolve technical issues. * Drive continuous improvement, digital engineering, and BIM initiatives. * Prepare management reports, resource forecasts, and performance dashboards for senior leadership. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture (Master's degree preferred). * 20\+ years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy. * Minimum 8–10 years in a leadership role managing large Design Offices. * Proven experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and international design teams. * Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills. **Key Competencies:** * Design Office Management * Multidisciplinary Coordination * Design Delivery \& Resource Planning * Technical Governance \& QA/QC * BIM \& Digital Engineering * Leadership \& Stakeholder Management * Strategic Planning \& Performance Management
