Aldar Academies are seeking a Teacher \- Psychology (Maternity Cover) for Bateen World Academy commencing January 2027\.
Located in the center of the city of Abu Dhabi, Bateen World Academy is a hugely popular school based in a vibrant community. The school is a high\-achieving British and IB World School, recognised for excellence and consistently exceeding IB Diploma global averages while achieving outstanding I/GCSE results. As an established and outstanding institution, the school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from FS1 to Year 6, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career\-related Programme (CP) in Years 12 and 13\. This provides the community with a seamless, all\-through school experience from FS1 to Year 13, combining the best of PYP, UK, and IB pathways.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Education or other relevant field with a teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching specialist subject up to GCSE and A Level desirable but not essential.

• Comply with the academy’s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the Principal
• Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of academy improvement or performance management
• Comply with the academy’s staff dress code at all times including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard

• Attend all staff briefings
• Sign out and sign in at relevant academy reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.

• Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
• Making effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study

• Ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time
• Maintaining an effective learning environment in accordance with the academy's procedures and encouraging good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework
• Mark and monitor students' work and set targets for progress
• Using performance data to inform planning and therefore ensuring the Learning and Teaching continue to ‘add value
• Assess and record students' progress systematically and keep records to check work is understood and completed, monitor strengths and areas for development, inform planning and recognise the level at which the student is achieving
• Undertake assessment of students as requested by examination bodies, departmental and academy procedures;
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents
• Take part in subject or aspects of the academy's work and develop plans which identify clear targets and success criteria for its development and / or maintenance
• Contribute to the whole academy's visioning activities.
