Tax Administration Manager
Job Summary
The Tax Administration Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the tax administration function across the Group of Companies, ensuring full compliance with UAE tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements. The role provides strategic tax guidance, strengthens internal controls, supports VAT governance, and ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all tax-related records and returns.
Key Responsibilities:
1-Tax Compliance and Administration
• Deliver a full and comprehensive range of tax administration services across the Group of Companies in full compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and up-to-datedness of all financial transactions, VAT-related documents, and VAT returns maintained across all entities.
• Submit VAT returns and related documentation to the VAT Core Committee for weekly review.
• Obtain Chairman’s written approval for tax returns and other documents prior to upload or submission to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
• Ensure all returns and supporting documents submitted to the FTA are properly filed and retained in accordance with the retention requirements of VAT law.
2-Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting
• Prepare annual projected cash flows for input VAT, output VAT, and net VAT payable or reclaimable, in consultation with all entity heads.
• Submit projected VAT cash flow plans to the VAT Core Committee for review and subsequently to the Chairman for approval.
• Monitor monthly projected VAT cash flows against actual results and report variances with explanations.
• Prepare annual projected input VAT amounts that are not eligible for recovery from the government.
• Review projected non-recoverable input VAT with the VAT Core Committee and submit to the Chairman for approval.
• Monitor actual non-recoverable input VAT against projections and report all variances with reasons.
3-Tax Strategy and Advisory
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all entities within the Group of Companies.
• Provide tax planning, technical expertise, and practical guidance to business and finance stakeholders.
• Develop innovative tax planning solutions in full compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
• Ensure that all tax planning activities are structured to prevent tax evasion and uphold legal compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across all entities within the Group.
4-Tax Risk Management Strategies
• Establish and maintain a robust tax risk management framework across the Group of Companies.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report tax risks arising from operations, transactions, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Implement and regularly review tax controls to reduce errors, omissions, penalties, and regulatory exposure.
• Maintain clear tax policies, procedures, and documentation to support consistent compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor changes in UAE and GCC tax laws and assess their impact on the Group’s tax position.
• Ensure regular review of VAT filings, reconciliations, supporting documents, and transactional records before submission.
• Strengthen coordination between finance, tax, legal, and operations teams to prevent tax risks at source.
• Conduct periodic tax risk reviews, internal audits, and compliance assessments to identify gaps and corrective actions.
• Escalate material tax risks, exposures, and control weaknesses to the VAT Core Committee and Chairman in a timely manner.
• Support tax transparency, accountability, and governance through accurate reporting and documented review procedures.
5- Performance Review and Process Improvement
• Conduct ongoing tax performance assessments across all entities and submit recommendations for improvement or remedial action through the VAT Core Committee to the Chairman.
• Report on opportunities to improve tax processes by introducing or implementing best practices.
• Support the development of stronger tax governance, controls, and compliance frameworks.
6-Internal Audit and Systems
• Manage and coordinate continuous in-house tax audits to ensure compliance with tax laws across the Group.
• Ensure effective use of information technology in VAT-related matters to improve speed, accuracy, completeness, and reliability of reporting.
• Support the adoption of systems and digital tools that enhance VAT administration and documentation.
7-Confidentiality and Conduct
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, tax, and business information obtained through the role.
• Sign and comply with the Company’s Confidentiality Agreement.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Technical Requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpretation and presentation skills.
• Hands-on VAT implementation experience.
• Knowledge of GCC tax regulations is an advantage.
Experience Requirements
• Minimum of 15 years of overall experience in Accounting and Tax functions.
• At least 6–7 years of experience in a tax role, with a specific focus on VAT.
Educational Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent
• Master’s degree in Tax, Finance, or Business Administration as an advantage, not mandatory
Reporting Line
• Reports to: Chairman
• Reviews through: VAT Core Committee
