Sublimation Heat Transfer Machine Operator

Job Purpose Complete the heat\-pressing and finishing stages of textile production while coordinating with suppliers, packing completed orders accurately, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Key Responsibilities **Heat\-Pressing and Quality Control** * Receive printed transfer paper and order details from the Printing Operator. * Confirm the order number, fabric type, length, quantity, design direction, and print requirements before heat pressing. * Inspect fabric before production for stains, marks, weaving defects, or incorrect measurements. * Set the correct heat\-press temperature, pressure, speed, and timing for each fabric. * Align the transfer paper and fabric correctly to avoid shifting, ghosting, creases, white lines, or incomplete transfers. * Monitor the heat\-pressing process and make approved adjustments when required. * Inspect every finished fabric for colour consistency, alignment, marks, damage, and overall print quality. * Separate defective items and report them to the Warehouse Supervisor before reprinting or replacement. * Record damaged fabric, production errors, and material wastage. **Supplier Coordination** * Communicate with approved fabric, packaging, maintenance, and other operational suppliers. * Request quotations, confirm prices, place approved orders, and follow up on delivery dates. * Check supplier deliveries against purchase details, quantities, and agreed quality. * Immediately report shortages, damaged goods, incorrect materials, delays, or price differences. * Collect and organise supplier invoices, delivery notes, and receipts before submitting them to the Warehouse Supervisor. * Maintain professional relationships with suppliers without approving unplanned expenses unless authorised. **Packing and Dispatch Preparation** * Fold and pack completed fabrics neatly according to company standards. * Match every packed order with the correct customer name, order number, quantity, and delivery details. * Include required labels, invoices, care instructions, or promotional materials. * Prepare completed orders for courier collection, customer pickup, or delivery. * Update the order status once packing is complete. * Keep completed, pending, defective, and returned orders in clearly separated areas. **Workspace and Equipment** * Keep the heat press, packing area, shelves, tools, and surrounding workspace clean and organised. * Complete basic approved cleaning and maintenance of the heat press. * Monitor fabric, packaging, labels, and other material levels. * Follow heat\-safety procedures and use protective equipment when required. * Switch off and secure equipment correctly at the end of the working day. **General Responsibilities** * Assist with stock counts, receiving deliveries, printing, and other production work during busy periods. * Follow the daily production priorities set by the Warehouse Supervisor. * Protect company and customer products from damage, dirt, moisture, or loss. Required Skills and Experience * Experience operating a heat press or working in textile production is preferred. * Good attention to detail and ability to recognise fabric and printing defects. * Strong organisational and supplier\-follow\-up skills. * Able to handle fabrics and stand for extended periods. * Basic computer and order\-sheet skills. * English is required; Arabic is an advantage. Performance Expectations * Consistent heat\-transfer quality. * Minimal fabric damage and production wastage. * Accurate packing with no mixed or missing orders. * Timely supplier follow\-up and document submission. * Clean, safe, and organised production and packing areas.
