**Job Title:** Structural Engineering Director **Job Type:** Full\-time **About the Role** Asahi Engineering is seeking a distinguished and visionary Structural Engineering Director to lead our structural engineering division, technical design operations, and major infrastructure projects in Kuwait. In this executive leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing high\-complex structural design, engineering integrity, seismic and wind load analysis, and advanced BIM integration for large\-scale commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments. You will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, uphold strict technical quality standards, and interface with key clients, government authorities, and principal contractors. **Key Responsibilities** * **Technical \& Operational Leadership:** Direct and oversee the structural engineering department, ensuring all engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents conform to international and local engineering standards. * **Project Delivery \& Integrity:** Supervise structural design strategies for high\-rise buildings, industrial facilities, and civil infrastructure, ensuring structural safety, material efficiency, cost\-effectiveness, and constructability. * **Authority Approvals \& Compliance:** Serve as the principal technical authority for regulatory filings and approvals with Kuwaiti municipal bodies, the Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Kuwait Fire Force (KFF), and other statutory authorities. * **Quality \& Safety Assurance:** Enforce rigorous technical quality control protocols, peer reviews, risk mitigation strategies, and value engineering exercises across all project phases. * **Client \& Stakeholder Relations:** Partner with architects, MEP directors, project managers, and client representatives to present structural concepts, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure aligned project delivery. * **Team Development:** Mentor, evaluate, and expand a high\-performing team of structural engineers, senior designers, and BIM specialists, fostering technical excellence and professional growth. **Qualifications \& Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree or Doctorate in Structural Engineering is strongly preferred. * **Licensure/Certifications:** Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE) status, or equivalent international professional registration.
