Structural Draftsman

• Study and review original contract structural drawings in coordination with the Team Leader and Engineering Manager. • Prepare and review detailed structural drawings for foundations, concrete works, steel structures, and related components. • Check and coordinate structural drawings received from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements. • Prepare drawings and detailed sketches for temporary structures and construction-related works as directed. • Create detailed 2D and 3D structural drawings, blueprints, and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. • Incorporate requirements and comments from Consultants, Project Managers, and Control Managers into drawings for submission and approval. • Establish and manage plotting limits, grid systems, and coordinates in AutoCAD in coordination with survey teams, including for as-built drawings. • Track, plan, and follow up on structural as-built drawings in line with the approved project schedule. • Prepare material take-offs, quantity lists, layout plans, and drawing registers as required. • Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes, site conditions, and client or consultant comments. • Support BIM coordination activities, including model integration and clash detection. • Coordinate closely with Structural Engineers to ensure all drawings meet engineering specifications and standards. • Manage multiple drafting tasks while ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality requirements, and project priorities. • Diploma /Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. • 8+ years of practical experience in construction drafting, with significant experience in structural drafting. • Preference - on rebar detailer and RFT shop drawings/BBs production. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and Navisworks is required for coordination and BIM-related activities. • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction detailing, and structural safety requirements. • Familiarity with applicable building codes, authority regulations, and ISO drafting standards. • Ability to read, interpret, and review IFC drawings, design documents, and technical specifications accurately. • High attention to detail with strong accuracy, drawing control, and documentation skills. • Good communication and coordination skills with engineering, project, and site teams. • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively under tight project deadlines. • Requirements are for high-rise building projects.
