MAT Plastic Industries LLC is a leading manufacturer of premium plunge pools, specializing in steel structures, GRP composite construction, acrylic viewing panels, and complete pool systems. We are looking for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design, analysis, and development of our products. Key Responsibilities • Perform structural analysis and design of steel plunge pools. • Design and verify lifting points for transportation and installation. • Calculate total pool weight, center of gravity (COG), and lifting loads. • Perform structural calculations for transportation, handling, and installation conditions. • Analyze hydrostatic water pressure on steel structures and acrylic panels. • Design and verify acrylic window thickness and structural performance under water pressure. • Evaluate steel members for bending, deflection, stress, and stability. • Prepare structural calculation reports and engineering documentation. • Coordinate with production and fabrication teams to ensure practical and manufacturable designs. • Review and optimize existing designs for safety, efficiency, and cost reduction • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of structural design experience. • Strong experience using STAAD Pro. • Experience with structural steel design and finite element analysis (FEA). • Knowledge of lifting analysis, center of gravity calculations, and lifting frame design. • Experience with hydrostatic loading and pressure calculations. • Understanding of acrylic (PMMA) structural behavior under load is highly preferred. • Familiarity with international structural design standards (Eurocode, AISC, BS, or equivalent). • Experience in precast structures, tanks, marine structures, modular construction, or swimming pools is considered a strong advantage.
