Storekeeper

Receive incoming materials, equipment, and supplies, and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes. Inspect all received items and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Purchasing Department. Store materials in designated locations following proper storage procedures and safety requirements. Issue materials, tools, and equipment based on approved requisitions. Maintain accurate inventory records in both manual and computerized inventory systems. Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits. Monitor inventory levels and notify the department concerned when stocks reach reorder levels. Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of all stored items. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly warehouses and storage areas. Prepare and maintain reports related to stock movement, inventory levels, and material transactions. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments concerned regarding material availability and deliveries. Monitor shelf life and expiry dates where applicable and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO). Safeguard company assets and ensure secure storage of materials and equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Bachelor s degree in business administration, commerce or a related field. Candidates with a Diploma in Warehouse Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or a related field may also be considered. Minimum of 2 3 years of experience in warehouse or storekeeping operations. Experience using inventory management or ERP systems is preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Good understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic mathematical and record-keeping skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices. Physical ability to lift and move materials when required.
