Steel Fixer

**Job Summary** We are looking for skilled and experienced **Steel Fixers** to join our construction team. The Steel Fixer will be responsible for cutting, bending, positioning, tying, and fixing reinforcement steel as per approved structural drawings, specifications, and site instructions. **Key Responsibilities** * Read and understand structural drawings, reinforcement details, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS). * Measure, cut, bend, and prepare reinforcement steel bars as required. * Fix and tie reinforcement bars using binding wire and appropriate tools. * Install reinforcement for **foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs, walls, staircases, and other RCC structures**. * Ensure correct bar spacing, alignment, lap length, levels, and concrete cover. * Install spacers, chairs, supports, and reinforcement mesh as required. * Assemble reinforcement cages and prefabricated steel components. * Check reinforcement work before concrete pouring and make necessary adjustments. * Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, shuttering carpenters, masons, and other workers. * Handle steel reinforcement materials safely and efficiently. * Use cutting and bending machines, hand tools, and other equipment safely. * Maintain proper housekeeping and keep tools and work areas organized. * Follow project specifications, quality standards, and site safety procedures. * Wear required PPE and comply with all HSE requirements. * Report material shortages, damaged materials, or drawing discrepancies to the supervisor. * Complete assigned work within the required project schedule.
