Sr. Mechanical HVAC CHW Engineer

A Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC chilled water plant systems designs, installs, and commissioning (chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs) to meet building cooling loads. Responsibilities include HVAC load calculations, piping design, energy efficiency optimization, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with standards, with 5-10+ years of UAE experience typically required for senior roles. Key Responsibilities ✅ Design chilled water plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, expansion tanks, and chilled water piping networks. ✅ Perform HVAC cooling/heating load calculations, equipment selection, pipe sizing, and hydraulic calculations. ✅ Prepare and review HVAC shop drawings, layout drawings, schematics, and BOQ/BOM using AutoCAD and Revit. ✅ Supervise HVAC installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, safety requirements, and applicable standards. ✅ Lead Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB), Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and system performance verification. ✅ Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and chilled water distribution systems. ✅ Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery. ✅ Identify and implement energy-efficient solutions to optimize chilled water plant performance. Requirements ✔ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. ✔ Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in high-rise building projects. ✔ Strong hands-on experience in: Chilled Water (CHW) Plant Design Installation & Site Supervision HVAC Controls Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) Troubleshooting and System Optimization ✔ Sound knowledge of all MEP engineering disciplines and coordination. ✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit experience is an advantage. ✔ Strong understanding of international HVAC standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.
