Job description

A **Senior Accountant** for a luxury perfume sales company in Kuwait manages financial health by bridging high\-volume retail transactions with cost controls. They oversee omnichannel revenue streams (boutiques, e\-commerce, and distributors), track fast\-moving stock valuations, and maintain strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Kuwaiti tax guidelines. Core Responsibilities 1\. Financial Reporting \& Month\-End Closing * Lead **month\-end and year\-end closing processes** to deliver timely and accurate balance sheets and P\&L statements. * Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with **IFRS**. * Present regular **Management Information Systems (MIS)** reports detailing store\-by\-store performance and sales trends. * Manage **cash flow forecasts**, ensuring adequate liquidity for premium raw material sourcing and showroom operations. 2\. Inventory \& Product Cost Accounting * Oversee inventory valuations, tracking stock movements across central warehouses and boutique locations. * Execute precise calculations for **Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)** and evaluate pricing formulas for individual fragrance SKUs. * Lead physical **stock verification audits**, investigating inventory discrepancies, variances, and expiration waste. 3\. Revenue \& Sales Reconciliation 1 * Audit daily retail POS transactions, resolving variances between cash, Knet, credit cards, and online payment gateways. * Manage multi\-channel **Accounts Receivable (AR)**, monitoring credit lines for regional perfume distributors and e\-commerce platforms. * Verify monthly **sales target commissions** and performance incentives for showroom staff and brand ambassadors. 4\. Compliance \& Internal Controls * File **Kuwait National Labor Support Tax (NLST)** and Zakat calculations accurately to ensure regulatory compliance. * Coordinate with external auditors by preparing balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation. * Manage **Accounts Payable (AP)** for global packaging supplies, bottle manufacturers, and local showroom leases. Candidate Profile \& Requirements * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. Professional qualifications like **CMA, ACCA, or CPA** are highly valued. * **Experience:** Minimum **4 to 6 years** of experience, with a mandatory background in retail, luxury goods, FMCG, or cosmetics industries. * **Technical Skills:** Advanced proficiency in modern Enterprise Resource Planning (**ERP**) platforms like Odoo, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics, combined with complex Excel modeling. * **Languages:** Business proficiency in written and spoken **English is required**; bilingual capabilities in **Arabic** provide a significant hiring advantage Pay: From KD300\.000 per month Ability to commute/relocate: * Kuwait City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: * perfumes: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
