Specialist Dermatologist

The Dermatologist is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care through accurate diagnosis, evidence\-based treatment planning, and preventive skincare guidance, while contributing to research, teaching, and mentoring within the field. * Diagnose and manage dermatological conditions using clinical examination, laboratory tests (e.g., KOH scraping, DTM culture, patch testing), and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wood's Light). * Develop and implement treatment plans, including topical/systemic medications, minor surgical procedures, and cosmetic/laser therapies. * Perform clinical procedures within core privileges, such as punch biopsy, cryocautery, electrocautery, comedone extraction, curettage, chemical peeling, microdermabrasion, and minor skin surgery under local anaesthesia. * Administer specialized procedures (where privileged), including Botox injections, dermal fillers, PRP, and laser therapy. * Counsel patients on skincare, disease prevention, and long\-term skin health maintenance. * Order and interpret relevant lab tests and allergy assessments. * Participate in continuous medical education, research, and mentoring of junior staff/trainees.
