Soil & Aggregate Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Soil \& Aggregate Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, and related construction materials, ensuring that all materials meet approved specifications, applicable standards, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, and other construction materials. * Perform soil tests including moisture content, density, compaction, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, and other applicable tests. * Conduct aggregate tests including gradation, specific gravity, water absorption, abrasion, soundness, and other relevant tests. * Collect, prepare, identify, and properly store samples in accordance with approved procedures. * Perform field density and compaction testing as required. * Operate, maintain, and properly handle laboratory and field testing equipment. * Accurately record, calculate, analyze, and report test results. * Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and project specifications. * Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, equipment logs, and calibration records. * Identify and report materials or test results that do not comply with specified requirements. * Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. * Comply with all company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures. * Perform other related duties as assigned by the relevant Department Head(s). Requirements * Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in soil and aggregate testing, preferably in a construction or materials testing laboratory. * Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Materials Testing, Laboratory Technology, or a related field. * Strong practical knowledge of soil and aggregate testing procedures and standards. * Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and BS standards is preferred. * Hands\-on experience with laboratory and field testing equipment. * Ability to accurately record, calculate, and interpret test results. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. * Qatar/GCC experience is an advantage.
