**SITE ENGINEER – WATERPROOFING CONTRACTING** 1\. Position Overview Job Title: Site Engineer Department: Operations \& Project Execution / Contracting Objective: Lead and manage the daily on\-site execution of specialized waterproofing projects, ensuring all systems (membranes, coatings, tanking, and insulation) are installed in strict compliance with approved method statements, project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols, while optimizing productivity, material consumption, and project timelines. 2\. Key Responsibilities \& Core Competencies Site Execution \& Daily Operational Leadership Direct, oversee, and supervise the daily site installation of various waterproofing systems (e.g., bituthene/torch\-applied membranes, liquid polyurethane/polyurea, basement tanking, injection grouting, and thermal insulation). Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks for site foremen, applicators, torchers, and sub\-contractors to achieve scheduled progress targets. Ensure all surface preparations (screed, cleaning, priming, and concrete repairs) meet manufacturer guidelines and project standards prior to system application. Manage on\-site material inventories, track daily material consumption against approved BOQs, and request site deliveries to prevent work stoppages or material wastage. Quality Assurance, Inspection \& Engineering Compliance Conduct rigorous Quality Control (QC) inspections at every stage of work, including spark testing, water flood testing, and thickness measurements (DFT/WFT). Raise and coordinate official Work Inspection Requests (WIR) with main contractors and consultant engineers for formal stage\-by\-stage approvals. Identify, document, and rectify site non\-conformances (NCRs) immediately, implementing root\-cause corrective and preventive actions. Maintain strict adherence to approved Method Statements (MS), Material Submittals, and Approved Shop Drawings on site. Client Coordination \& Progress Reporting Represent the company in daily and weekly on\-site progress meetings with main contractors, consultants, and safety inspectors. Draft, verify, and maintain precise daily site logs, manpower logs, work progress reports, and weather condition records. Coordinate closely with the Quantity Surveyor (QS) engineer to verify joint site measurements and support the accurate preparation of progress billing and variation orders. Participate actively in weekly internal alignment meetings with the Project Manager, Sales Engineers, and procurement teams to synchronize site schedules and resource allocations. Health, Safety \& Environmental (HSE) Governance Enforce strict site safety procedures, hot\-work permit controls (for torching operations), PPE compliance, and hazardous material storage protocols. Conduct daily toolbox talks (TBT) with site workers and torchers focusing on high\-risk waterproofing operations, working at heights, and confined space safety. 3\. Minimum Qualifications \& Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands\-on site execution experience specifically within specialized waterproofing contracting, building envelope systems, or construction chemicals. Technical Mastery: In\-depth technical understanding of waterproofing application methodologies, joint treatments, flood testing protocols, and reading detailed architectural/structural structural waterproofing details. Leadership \& Site Control: Strong ability to supervise, motivate, and direct diverse site crews, torchers, and labor under challenging site conditions. Communication Skills: Professional verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a strong advantage for labor management). Driving License: Valid local driver's license and personal vehicle for traveling across active site locations. Work Location: In person
